Apartment in Rio, located in different parts of Rio de Janeiro, is run by Isak La Fleur and Paola Urquiza.

“When we first came to Rio de Janeiro in 2006 as tourists, we were overpowered by its exotic beauty and splendor. The pristine beaches, tropical weather, sumptuous cuisine, exotic sights and sounds made us realize that Rio is a piece of heaven on earth we can never get enough of. 

After two years of staying in Rio, we decided we wanted to stay for good and started our own apartment rental company. Although Rio itself is breathtaking, we noticed that most apartments being offered leave something to be desired. We wanted other tourists who come to Rio to enjoy their stay to the fullest. My wife Paola and I believed that tourists can be able to get more of Rio if there are apartment rental companies that offer quality service and nice apartments at a reasonable price.

We started our company, Apartment in Rio in 2008 as a series of apartment buildings located in the most sought-after tourist destinations in the city of Rio. We have apartments in Arpoador, Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon. Most people who run apartments in Rio de Janeiro speak very little English which is disadvantageous for tourists who cannot speak Portuguese. Miscommunication is often the problem and this could hamper the tourists from fully enjoying their stay in Rio. As owners of Apartment in Rio, we personally assist tourists in selecting the apartment that suits them and we help get them settled into their apartment. Paola and I can speak English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Swedish fluently. Our clients who choose to stay with us find this very convenient when they need to ask for directions on the tourist spots to visit.

Our company has come a long way in helping tourists and businessmen to have the most enjoyable and comfortable time during their stay in Rio. From the opening of our company until the present, we have served hundreds of satisfied customers who stayed in our apartments as they get to know the city of Rio.”
