Terms and Conditions

AVAILABILITY OF APARTMENTS

The apartments will need to be reserved in advance to ensure availability. We require a minimum stay of three nights during the low seasons. During the peak season such as the Carnival and New Year, we require a booking of at least seven nights. 

FINAL PAYMENT

The rent for your entire stay in Rio will need to be paid in full upon your arrival, after the inspection of the apartment and receipt of the keys. We prefer that you pay in Brazilian Reals (BRL) but should you opt to pay in American Dollars (USD) or European Euros (EUR) we will be using the official exchange rate of the day plus an exchange rate cost of 5%.

CHECK-IN TIME

Our official check-in time is between 1pm and 10pm, should the client arrive and check-in after 10pm, he will be charged an additional R$50. If the reserved apartment is available before the check-in time, the client can check-in earlier without any extra cost.

CHECK-OUT TIME

Our official check-out time is 11am. If no one rents the apartment on the day of the check-out, Apartment in Rio will not charge the client a late check-out fee in case he decides to leave later than 11am. The time of the check-out can be discussed one day prior.

CANCELLATION

Reservations will not be reimbursed under any circumstances. You will be able to change the dates of your stay and the choice of apartment depending on availability, if notification is made 20 days before arrival.

HANDOVER OF KEYS

When you arrive at Apartment in Rio, our friendly staff will greet you and orient you to your reserved apartment. You will need to present a passport or a national ID for registration. Once you have been oriented to the room and made sure that everything is fully functional, we will be handing over the apartment keys to you. Keys will need to be returned during checking out of the apartments.
